Browns pass rush ranks among the NFL’s best at disrupting the QB

The Cleveland Browns have not done many things well throughout the first half of the season. One area where the Browns are still playing very well is the pass rush.

The Browns bring one of the best pass rushes in the league. Myles Garrett remains tied for the league lead in sacks with 10 through eight games, but the fantastic defensive end isn’t the only Browns pass rusher making positive things happen.

Garrett spearheads a pass rush that disrupts the opposing passer on 33 percent of dropbacks. ESPN Stats and Info defines the disruption as a sack, QB pressure or QB hurry, the last of which is an unofficial stat. That 33 percent rate is the 6th-best in the NFL through Week 9.

Garrett racks up the sacks, but Olivier Vernon has recorded more pressures (24 to 23). Defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson has 14 to help chip in.
