Browns have no new positive tests but facility remains closed

There was no activity inside the Cleveland Browns headquarters in Berea, with the buildings closed yet again after the recent outbreak of COVID-19 positive tests among the coaching staff and players. However, there was some good news on Wednesday.

No players or coaches tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday. A day after head coach Kevin Stefanski, left guard Joel Bitonio and three others all tested positive, the lack of any new positive tests is a welcome breath of relief.

The team did hold meetings remotely, which Stefanski noted has been the norm for several weeks now. Stefanski is allowed to run the team from his quarantine until Sunday’s game time in Pittsburgh.

Bitonio and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge were the players who tested positive on Tuesday. Both will miss the wild-card rematch with the Steelers. Stefanski and two assistant coaches also will miss the game.
