Browns have better odds to win Super Bowl than Texans

The Cleveland Browns have better odds to win Super Bowl LIV in Miami in Feb. 2020 than do the Houston Texans.

According to odds released by Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook via ESPN, the Browns have 16-1 odds to win the Super Bowl compared to the Texans, who have 30-1 odds.

Other teams in Houston’s odd range included the Atlanta Falcons (30-1), Seattle Seahawks (30-1), Dallas Cowboys (25-1), Minnesota Vikings (25-1), and San Francisco 49ers (25-1). The Indianapolis Colts were given 10-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, the best in the AFC South.

The odds were exhaustive enough to include odds to win the AFC (15-1), odds to win the division (plus-280), and an over/under win total (8.5). The Texans were given plus-150 odds to make the playoffs compared to plus-180 to miss the postseason in 2019.

It doesn’t appear that general manager Brian Gaine has made the moves in free agency and the NFL draft to convince the odds-makers. Nonetheless, that is why the games are played on the gridiron and not on paper.
