Browns have another player test positive for COVID-19

The Cleveland Browns have shut down the team’s practice and training facility in Berea after another active player has tested positive for COVID-19. The team announced the swift action on Monday, a day after the team came up victorious in FirstEnergy Stadium over the Houston Texans.

It’s the second weekday in a row that the Browns have had a player test positive. Offensive lineman Chris Hubbard tested positive on Friday, which led to a shutdown as well.

The new positive test case remains unidentified.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski offered few details in his regularly scheduled media session, which kicked off just minutes after the team made the announcement.

“That’s the world we live in right now, and we’re willing to do whatever’s necessary to keep everybody safe … while doing that we still have to prepare and get ready to play,” Stefanski said of the positive test and working remotely to prepare for the Week 11 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

This story will be updated as developments unfold.
