In the week before the 2019 NFL Draft, Sports Illustrated ran a feature piece on an anonymous prospect. The story, reported by Kalyn Kahler, went into deep detail about a small-school prospect and his journey to being a viable draft prospect.
We now know that “Prospect X” was Browns sixth-round pick Drew Forbes. Sports Illustrated revealed Forbes as the mystery player in this week’s online edition.
The revelation was not surprising to anyone who had done even token research on Forbes after his selection. Many of the clues pointed to a Midwestern offensive lineman, particularly with the level of competition and interest from specific teams.
