The Cleveland Browns traded up Friday night to select star LSU cornerback Greedy Williams, who had been projected as a top-20 talent in the weeks leading up to the draft. Williams saw a total of six corners come off the board before the Browns selected him at 46th overall, but the Browns’ decision to trade up may prove to be one of the best moves of the draft. FTW NFL expert Steven Ruiz gave the Browns a grade of A+ on the pick, writing that Williams is the best corner in the class.
Another recent Browns acquisition, former LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., was very excited to welcome Williams to the team.
The Browns are quickly assembling one of the most talented rosters in football, and Williams, for one, believes Cleveland will be playing for a title just two years after going 0-16.
