Browns designated Jack Conklin, Kareem Hunt for return not certain for Week 12

The Cleveland Browns are working toward getting as healthy as possible in advance of their Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

Wednesday, the team designated right tackle Jack Conklin and running back Kareem Hunt for return from injured reserve. Both players have missed multiple games with injuries but have been working their way back to health.

Designating them to return allows them to practice with the team but does not mean they are certain to return to the 53-man roster for this week’s game. The Browns have three weeks to activate each player.

With Conklin out, Blake Hance has taken over at right tackle. While not at the same level as Conklin, Hance has played better than expected. With Hunt out, D’Ernest Johnson took over as the main backup behind Nick Chubb. When Chubb was out also, Johnson carried the load.

Having both players return could be huge for Cleveland’s offense especially Baker Mayfield’s confidence in his pass protection and having Hunt as a safety valve in the passing game.
