The Packers have released defensive lineman Mike Daniels and he is now linked to the Cleveland Browns. Considering the front office connections, it’s no wonder that the Browns are looking to pick another player off the Green Bay Packers roster.
The Packers put him the role of defensive end last year and he started nine games and had two sacks. His more natural position of defensive tackle allowed him to be more disruptive and in 2017 he was a Pro Bowler while playing that role.
You can expect the Browns to sell that to him hard as DE is not a concern, but DT depth could be. As Mike Garafolo notes, the Browns pursuit of Gerald McCoy shows they are still looking to add to the defensive line.
