Browns continue to pressure Steelers in AFC North by signing RB Kareem Hunt

The AFC North is shaping up to be highly competitive in 2019, and the Cleveland Browns upped the ante on Monday when they signed free agent running back Kareem Hunt to a one-year contract.

Say what you will about Hunt and what he did, but he’s doing everything asked of him to get back in the good graces of the league. Hunt’s talent is undeniable, and the reward of signing Hunt to such a small contract far outweighs any potential risk. If this works, the Browns will have Hunt and Nick Chubb — and the more talented backfield in the AFC North.

Should the Steelers have taken the risk the Browns did? Absolutely. Pittsburgh cannot afford to stand pat and just hope they will be able to hold off the Browns and Ravens next season.

It will be important to track the transactions of both of these teams and it will be interesting to grade out which team pushes the Steelers harder leading up to next season.
