Browns claim Tae Davis off of waivers from Giants

Former New York Giants linebacker Tae Davis, who was waived in order to make room for defensive end Leonard Williams on the team’s 53-man roster, didn’t have to wait long to find a new home.

And as fate would have it, Davis will now re-join another former Giants teammate in Ohio.

ESPN’s Field Yates reports that Davis was awarded to the Cleveland Browns off of waivers from the Giants, re-joining former locker room pal, Odell Beckham Jr.

After a solid 2018 campaign, Davis entered the 2019 regular season as a Week 1 starter for the Giants, but things went downhill from there.

After struggling against the Dallas Cowboys, Davis saw his snap count steadily decrease before missing a handful of games as the result of a concussion and then finding himself to be a healthy scratch.

In Cleveland, Davis will immediately land on the Browns’ 53-man roster and have the opportunity of getting his career back on track.
