Browns check out San Diego State TE Kahale Warring at Aztecs pro day

One of the buzzing names on the NFL draft talk circuit is San Diego State tight end Kahale Warring. The athletically proficient TE worked out at the Aztecs pro day on Monday with the Cleveland Browns prominently in attendance.

Warring is an early entrant who put on a show in his combine workout. At 6-5 and 252 pounds, Warring posted among the best 40 times, vertical and broad jumps of any tight ends in Indy.

His game remains a work in progress. Warring is a former water polo star who is still learning the intricacies of football. That includes catching the pigskin, as he has 9 dropped passes to 51 total receptions in his Aztecs career. Even so, his high ceiling will likely make him a Day Two selection.

Warring isn’t the only Aztec worthy of draft mention. Offensive tackles Ryan Pope and Tyler Roemer are both late-round considerations, though Roemer carries some off-field flags that could be an issue. Lanky wideout Fred Trevillion is also a name to know for his potential as a return man.
