Browns bring back Breshad Perriman

The Cleveland Browns brought back Breshad Perriman, but unfortunately the financial terms can not be finalized until the start of the league year. Perriman was a pleasant surprise last season as he saw action in ten games and even started two. Perriman finally earned the deep threat designation that gave him first round hype coming out of UCF. He finished the season with 16 receptions for 340 yards, which led to an incredible average of 21.3 yards per reception.

Despite only scoring two touchdowns, Perriman’s impact was noticeable. Much like the Terrelle Pryor fiasco after the 2016 season, Cleveland fans were on notice of his possible departure.

Unlike Pryor, Perriman is returning to the Browns and with a full off-season to work with Baker Mayfield in Freddie Kitchens offense. Perriman can hopefully escalate his game even further.

Perriman was widely regarded as a bust after the Baltimore Ravens selected the young wide-out in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft and his flame-out as a Washington Redskin didn’t help matters either, but he is clearly he is taking his career resurrection in Cleveland seriously and at only 25 years old, he is just scratching the surface.
