The Week 1 NFL power poll is out from USA TODAY, and the Cleveland Browns find themselves perched significantly higher than they have been in, well…a very long time.
The Browns check in at No. 11 on the initial power poll. That’s down one spot from the pre-preseason ranking but still up from anywhere the Browns have been during the regular season since we began tracking. The highest the Browns soared in 2018 was No. 15 heading into Week 17.
Interestingly, the poll elevated the Pittsburgh Steelers up from 12th to No. 9 and ahead of the Browns. They are the only AFC North team ranked above Cleveland.
