Browns barely tame the Lions: What we know after the win

The Cleveland Browns defeated the Detroit Lions 13-10 in their Week 11 matchup in a game that was ugly all around for both teams. The difference is that the home team Browns were expected to compete with the top of the league while the Lions still haven’t won a game this season.

Despite that, the game came down to late in the fourth quarter and Cleveland needing to salt away time on the back of running back Nick Chubb and the team’s offensive line.

The defense did their part most of the game but allowed D’Andre Swift to break a long 57-yarder and finish the game with 136 yards on 14 carries. With Tim Boyle making his first NFL start, the Browns defense didn’t have much of a threat in the passing game and had two interceptions.

As we noted Saturday, this was a no-win game for the Browns. Barely beating the lowly Lions was only slightly better than losing to them in terms of the narrative discussion but is significantly important in the standings.

What did we learn in Week 11?
