Baker Mayfield set the NFL record for most touchdown passes by a rookie in 2018. He’s followed that up with an up-and-down 2019, albeit one that still shows considerable promise.
That doesn’t seem to impress the folks who came up with the “future QB rankings” for all 32 NFL teams. Touchdown Wire placed Mayfield and the Browns in the middle of the pack at No. 15 overall.
Before you freak out, it’s based on more than just the skill of the quarterback. Tom Brady and the Patriots are at No. 14, and anyone suggesting there are 13 better quarterbacks than Brady needs professional help.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were No. 1, followed by the Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson. Miami was last, with the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 31.
