Browns and Giants alter the Vernon-Zeitler trade draft picks

The first of the two major trades agreed upon between the Browns and Giants is getting a slight alteration.

Don’t worry, Olivier Vernon is still coming to Cleveland in exchange for Kevin Zeitler. That part of the deal is still going down later on Wednesday when pending transactions become official.

But the draft picks initially involved have now morphed into the second trade between the two teams, the Odell Beckham Jr. deal.

Cleveland was set to send a fifth-round pick (No. 155 overall) to the Giants and receive New York’s fourth-rounder (No. 132).

I’m told the picks flipped in Olivier Vernon/Kevin Zeitler trade between Giants-Browns revert back as part of last night’s blockbuster.

So ultimately, deal is OBJ and Vernon for Zeitler, Peppers, 17th overall and 95th overall (New England’s pick).
