Browns ahead of Steelers in latest Super Bowl odds

If you wake up and read this and wonder if you’ve fallen into an alternate reality, just know you haven’t. According to the updated Super Bowl odds on OddsShark, the Pittsburgh Steelers do not have the best Super Bowl odds among AFC North teams. This distinction goes to—wait for it—the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers currently sit at 20/1 odds to win the Super Bowl, while the resurgent Browns are 14/1. There’s no denying Cleveland has attacked the 2019 offseason and put several big pieces in place. None bigger than wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. via a trade with the New York Giants.

Meanwhile, the Steelers are facing the unknown as they will be without wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back Le’Veon Bell for the first time since 2013.

While we appreciate the moves the Browns have made, until they all do it on the field they are just a bunch of guys on a team which hasn’t been good for a long time. Historically, teams just loading up on free agents hasn’t translated to success but it remains to be seen how it all plays how.

At the same time, we are all waiting on the Steelers next move. The team has taken some steps to bolster both sides of the football in free agency but you have to wonder when it is all said and done if 2019 isn’t going to end up something of a transition season while the front office gets the team back under control.
