Browns add RB Elijah McGuire, OT Paul Adams to practice squad

The Cleveland Browns filled out the 10-man practice squad with a pair of newcomers from other teams on Monday. The team announced it has signed running back Elijah McGuire and offensive tackle Paul Adams to the practice squad.

McGuire comes from the Jets, where he spent the last two NFL seasons playing as a part-time starter in New York. Originally a sixth-round pick from Louisiana-Lafayette, he’s rushed for nearly 600 yards in 24 career games for the Jets. This is his final season of practice squad eligibility.

Adams is a rookie who spent the preseason with the other New York team, the Giants. Undrafted out of Missouri, Adams played right tackle for both the Tigers in college and the Giants.
