Browns add 2 more to the coaching staff

Freddie Kitchens continues to flesh out his coaching staff. The Browns rookie head coach added two more assistants to the mix on Tuesday.

The Browns officially named Doug Colman as the new special teams assistant coach and Alonso Escalante as a defensive quality control coach. Both have been with the team for a few weeks but in an unofficial capacity.

Keen-minded Browns fans might recall Colman from his cup of coffee with the Browns as a linebacker back in the 2000 season. He worked for the Dallas Cowboys last year after several seasons coaching with the Houston Texans.

Escalante is a familiar face for defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, his boss last year with the Arizona Cardinals. He’s worked for several teams over the last decade, most notably the New York Giants.
