Brown bins in Edinburgh: Here is where you can go as garden waste collection remains suspended

A few weeks ago, Edinburgh City Council made the decision to suspend all brown bin collection s to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

But with many people trapped at home on furlough with nothing to do but gardening, brown bin waste is mounting up in the capital.

So what can you do when you need your brown bins uplifted in Edinburgh? Luckily a few people are still offering the service at a charge.

Local landscape gardener, Josh Dow, has stepped up his gardening services to also provide brown bin collections.

Prices start from:
£3.50 every 2 weeks
£4.50 every 4 weeks
£5.50 as a one of collection

The service is dependant on your postcode.

Edinburgh Contracts

This company has been collecting brown bins across the capital for the last couple of weeks.

They usually charge 5 pounds per bin and ask that people check their Facebook page for updates or send them a message.

Caledonian Horticulture

This Composting Facility in North Berwick say they are taking bookings for brown bin collections with an EH postcode.

They will also bring you a free bag of compost.
