Brenda Snipes, the election supervisor in Florida's Broward County, will likely step down in January after 15 years in the position, citing a desire to spend more time with her family, reports the Sun Sentinel.

The big picture: The Broward election office was one of several Florida counties to draw the ire of high-profile Republicans — including Sen.-elect Rick Scott and President Trump, who both made unfounded accusations of voter fraud in Broward — after the state's disastrous election infrastructure led to a chaotic recount in three races.
