Broughty Ferry Health Centre in major upgrade to increase capacity

Broughty Ferry Health Centre is undergoing work to upgrade the premises which will result in increased capacity. Work is due to start at the facility on Monday, 18 July and will run for approximately nine weeks.

The contractors will have access to the building from Friday, 15 July to prepare for the upcoming works.

Whilst this upgrading work is being carried out, to ensure safety and enable work to continue, some areas of the centre will have limited access and this will impact on the number of clinics that can be held on a daily basis.

During the works, a small number of clinics run by Dundee Community Treatment & Care Services will be temporarily moved to other locations and patients will be asked to attend either the MacKinnon Centre, Wallacetown Health Centre, The Crescent or Westgate Health Centre.

Clinics affected are phlebotomy, anti coagulation therapy and wound care treatments.

A full list will be provided by the administration team on request. The team can be contacted on 01382 496 717.

The GP Practice and Podiatry Services will continue run at Broughty Ferry Health Centre as usual during the improvement work.

Patients are advised that there will be a significant reduction in available car parking spaces at the health centre during this time and public transport is advisable where possible.

Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership Community Nurse Manager Cath Cook, said, “As soon as it is practical to do so, all clinics delivered by Dundee Community Treatment and Care Service will return to Broughty Ferry Health Centre.

“We would like to thank the public for their patience at this time.”
