'Brought a tear to my eye' - David Batty's rare appearance in tribute video delights Leeds United fans

It has become a ritual every Thursday night at 8pm.

The weekly 'Clap for Carers' applause has taken the nation by storm during the cornavirus outbreak.

The simple act of clapping on our doorsteps has seen millions come out in support of the NHS, who are helping deal with this unprecedented health crisis.

And now, Leeds United have got in on the selfless act - with some famous faces recording a special video.

The club posted a video on their social media of former stars, current players and famous fans taking part in the applause.

Leeds legend David Batty made a rare appearance, alongside his former Elland Road teammate Mark Viduka.

Another former Whites' star Luciano Becchio makes an appearance aswell as current players, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Leeds United Ladies captain Bridie Hannon.

And from a non-footballing perspective, all five members of the Kaiser Chiefs appear in the 47-second clip.

The club also pledged a message of support to club legend Norman Hunter, who they confirmed earlier today is still fighting coronavirus in hospital.

There was a hugely positive reaction from Leeds fans following the video's release. Below are just some fans' reactions.
