Brothers admit to manslaughter after deadly brawl in Mount Gambier

Dominic Von Stanke (L) and Jordan Von Stanke (R) will be sentenced at a later date.

Two brothers charged over the death of a man during a brawl in Mount Gambier last year have pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Father of three Rex Court, 32, died from severe head injuries he sustained during a fight on Commercial Street East in Mount Gambier on May 13, 2017.

Jordan Von Stanke, 25, and Dominic Von Stanke, 21, were charged with Mr Court's murder.

But on Tuesday, prosecutors told the Adelaide Magistrates Court they were withdrawing the murder charge and accepting guilty pleas to manslaughter.

The day after the brawl, police said three men were walking along Commercial Street East at about 9:00pm when an argument broke out with a large group of men across the road.

They said the two groups had been at the same bar earlier in the night and that the violence was "alcohol-fuelled".

The brothers were remanded on continuing bail to be sentenced at a later date.
