Brothers, 13 and 17, killed by train in Germany after rushing to make connection

Two teenage brothers have been killed by a train in southern Germany as they rushed to catch their connection.

The pair, aged 13 and 17, were hit as they ran across the tracks at the station in Bruckberg, north east of Munich, police said.

The barriers were down when they attempted to cross the rails.

They were trying to make their own train, which was already at the platform, officers told the Deutsche Presse-Agentur news agency.
