Brother of Neath man who vanished after walking his dog says family are 'worried sick'

The family of Darren Stott, who disappeared after walking his dog, have said they are 'worried sick' for him.

The 35-year-old from Neath , also known as Daz or Gomez, walked his Staffordshire bull terrier to a pharmacy in Neath on Wednesday, October 2, before returning to his home in New Henry Street.

Mr Stott then left without his phone, wallet, or other belongings and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

He was wearing black jogging bottoms and a dark-coloured fleece and baseball cap.

Missing person posters have appeared across Swansea Bay in the search for Darren (Jonathan Myers)

Mr Stott’s brother, Paul, said: "Darren is a young man of habit. It is out of character for my little brother to leave his phone, tablet, wallet, and especially his dog, which he refers to as his baby.

"His mum, myself and his friends are worried sick. We just want his safe return.

"Please, Daz, come home, to all the people that love you most."

How does a missing persons investigation work?

Friends of Mr Stott, who is originally from Aldershot, became concerned when he failed to turn up for work on Friday, October 4, at the Rock and Fountain pub in Neath, where he occasionally did shifts in the kitchen.

Having worked as a chef, Mr Stott stopped working full time because of his depression and anxiety, for which he had been receiving treatment for a number of years.

If anyone has any information or has seen Darren since this date, please call police on 101, quoting reference 1900367165.
