Brother of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch, John, is currently in critical condition in hospital after falling down the stairs of his Dublin home.
John Hutch was unresponsive when emergency services arrived at his house on Tuesday evening in Drumalee.
Emergency services attempted CPR at the scene before he was rushed to Mater Hospital just after 4pm with what was described as serious injuries.
John, who has no involvement in crime, is still currently fighting for his life as gardai continue to investigate the incident.
A Garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai and emergency services attended an incident at a house in the Drumalee area off North Circular Rd, Dublin 7, 16 July 2019 at approximately 4.15pm.
"A man was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious injuries.
"Investigations are ongoing."
