The brother of tragic Amber Gibson has appeared in court in private.
Connor Gibson - also known as Connor Niven - made no plea or declaration as he appeared on petition at Hamilton Sheriff court today (Friday).
He was charged in relation to the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 and murder.
He was also charged with trying to pervert the course of justice.
The 19-year-old, from Hamilton, was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing.
He will return to court next week.
Amber, 16, had been reported missing from her Hillhouse last Friday.
She was last seen on Cadzow Street at 9.55pm that evening.
Her body was discovered near to Cadzow Glen around 10.10am on Sunday, November 28.
A police cordon that had been in place from Sunday was finally lifted earlier today (Friday).
