Two children were left gobsmacked after finding a small shark on Southport beach.
Lola, 12 and Tyler, nine from Overpool made the exciting discovery during a family walk.
Rachel Wright and her partner Michael Sullivan had taken the kids for a midweek break to Pontins Southport in late July.
While they went for a walk along the shoreline, they came upon the shark, believed to be a smooth-hound.

Their grandad Mark said: "The kids were taken aback that a shark of any size could be found in local waters.
"They were upset that a lovely fish had died for no reason but they got excited at having their photo taken as a memento of the occasion."
But not everyone was pleased by the find, as Lola and Tyler's younger sibling Lily, three, was too scared to pose for a photo.
A spokesperson for a Sefton Council said: "From looking at this photograph the animal appears to be a common smooth-hound.
"This is a small species of shark often found in Liverpool Bay and in very shallow waters.
