Brothel operator cops additional charges, details emerge of alleged sexual 'training session'

A brothel operator accused of a string of offences including people trafficking, forced labour and sexual assault is facing fresh charges.

Bradley Lester Grey, 53, was charged with five more offences including sexual intercourse without consent, an act of indecency without consent and discouraging the use of prophylactics at the brothel he operated.

The ACT Magistrates Court heard on Thursday more alleged victims had come forward and further Territory and Commonwealth charges were likely.

Last month, Mr Grey was extradited from Sydney to Canberra and charged with offences including people trafficking, forced labour and sexual assault.

Police alleged he brought a young woman to Canberra from overseas to work in a brothel.

Court documents tendered in relation to the first alleged victim revealed Mr Grey is alleged to have masqueraded as a woman online and began communicating with the victim about coming to Australia to make "great money" as an escort.

The documents said after the victim arrived in the country Mr Grey told her she needed to undertake a "training" session with him.

The victim told police she felt compelled to comply because Mr Grey was her boss and knew all of her personal details.

The documents showed Mr Grey has been charged with sexual intercourse without consent relating to the session.

It was alleged he also told her she would have to pay back more than half of her travel costs.

The documents stated Mr Grey threatened to expose the alleged victim and said: "If you try and leave without paying me, I will make your life horrible because I'm going to tell everybody what you're doing here".

Mr Grey was remanded in custody.

Pleas were not entered and the matter will return to court in April.
