Brooklyn Beckham has declared his unwavering support for wife Nicola Peltz as rumours of a rift with his family continue to grow.
The 26-year-old and Nicola, 30, are said to be at odds with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and have been notably absent from several recent family events — including David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month.
In an Instagram post, Brooklyn appeared to reaffirm his loyalty to Nicola, the daughter of Miami-based billionaires Nelson and Claudia Peltz.
He shared a video of the couple riding a motorbike through the palm-lined streets of southern California, with Nicola holding on to him.
He captioned the post: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby.”
The post comes after his parents allegedly made another attempt to reconnect with him on Thursday evening, as they attended the TIME100 Impact Dinner in New York City, The Mail on Sunday reports.
At the event, the couple shared a picture of Victoria's 50th birthday celebrations last year, where they posed with all four of their children, a sign of happier times according to observers.
Brooklyn stayed silent on social media as his mother celebrated her most recent birthday in April this year, as well as missing father David star-studded 50th birthday bash in London.
It was in stark contrast to his other brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, who posted well wishes to their parents online, while sister Harper, 13, was pictured at all of the family celebrations.
David was honoured at the event for his decades of philanthropy, in particular his work with UNICEF, and put on a united front with wife Victoria. But privately, they are said to be devastated at the family fallout.
The footballing legend is said to be worried the feud with Brooklyn could mirror his own estrangement from his father Ted in 2005. The pair were not on speaking terms until Ted, 77, suffered a near-death experience in 2007 and they reconciled.
As they marked Mother's Day in the US, David shared a picture of Victoria cuddled up with their four children. He wrote: "Happy Mother's Day to the best mommy. To all our friends in the U.S. Happy Mother's Day."
Elsewhere, Victoria shared an image of a bouquet of flowers sent by Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29.
The alleged rift comes after Brooklyn and Nicola missed a family dinner held in April ahead of David’s milestone birthday. Romeo and Cruz attended the gathering at Cipriani Downtown in Miami, joined by their girlfriends Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel, while Brooklyn and Nicola remained in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, TMZ has reported that Brooklyn and Romeo have fallen out over Romeo’s relationship with Kim Turnbull — who previously dated Brooklyn’s friend, Rocco Ritchie.
