Brooklyn Beckham has unveiled his latest culinary creation – and his inspiration appears to come from an unlikely royal source.
The 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham posted a new cookery video on Instagram this week, showing followers how to make homemade jam.
The timing raised eyebrows, given jam has become something of a signature for Meghan Markle, who earlier this year launched her own raspberry spread under her lifestyle brand As Ever at £6.50 a jar.
While Meghan has sought to commercialise her kitchen hobby, Brooklyn’s effort was presented as a tutorial rather than a business venture.
The aspiring chef already sells his own hot sauce range, Cloud23, and has been gradually building his profile with collaborations and online cooking content, which includes a recent endorsement from chef Gino D’Acampo.
The sweet endeavour comes as reports suggest the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have formed a bond with Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz.
Both couples are said to share “common ground” in experiencing highly publicised rifts with their families.
Brooklyn and Nicola’s ongoing feud with his parents has been dubbed “Beckxit,” while Harry and Meghan’s strained relationship with the Royal Family has been well documented.
According to insiders, the Sussexes hosted the young couple for dinner at their Montecito mansion in May.
Meghan and Nicola reportedly connected over feeling misrepresented as “homewreckers” in the media, while Harry offered Brooklyn his “unwavering support.”
The foursome have allegedly swapped numbers and kept in touch since the dinner.
Brooklyn’s latest jam video follows another thinly veiled dig at his family. In a recent collaboration with renowned chef Michel Roux Jr at London’s Langham Hotel, he quipped that the only reason he would fly back from Los Angeles was to cook and not to reunite with relatives.
The Beckham family were last pictured together on Boxing Day 2024, with no sign of reconciliation since.
If the friendship with Harry and Meghan continues to flourish, it could deepen the reported rift between the Sussexes and the Beckhams, who are also believed to have fallen out over allegations of leaking stories to the press.
