Brooklyn Beckham slammed by domestic violence charity after playfully grabbing fiancée's throat

Brooklyn Beckham has been slammed by a domestic violence charity after he was pictured playfully grabbing his fiancée's throat.

Nicola Peltz, 25, took to her Instagram account earlier this week to share a photo of herself with David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son, 21, pulling the pose.

The duo were seen sitting at a dining table and drinking wine together when they snapped the picture.

She captioned it: "Tb to prom night" and he quickly commented "My amazing girl".

Now the picture, which has since been deleted, has been slammed by the KWRO Women's Rights Organisation, who called the pose "disgusting".

Founder Dianna Nammi also called on Brooklyn to apologise for the photo, saying: "It is disgusting and I think with serious matters no one should allow themselves to make a joke.

"This is very important, an organisation like ours has seen so many women become victims of honour based violence, domestic violence, forced marriage - and they have been strangled by their own family and they have been killed by husbands, partners or boyfriends.

"So we are talking about real life, even if it's a joke it is disgusting in my opinion. I think it should be banned from Instagram this kind of picture."

Nammi said at 21 Brooklyn is old enough to know better.

She continued: "I think this is sending a very wrong message, a very dangerous message to young people especially.

"This kind of attitude is not acceptable and both men and women, especially women, need to be respected and their life needs to be celebrated."

Calling on the Beckhams to release a statement about the photo, she added: "His family need to discuss it to say something in the media that they are not that approving of that, because of their position especially."

Nicola quickly deleted the photo (DIGITAL/EROTEME.CO.UK)

Nammi continued: "We are talking about an adult man talking about his girlfriend - and his girlfriend definitely must not accept that. I urge them to put a message of apology on Instagram and Twitter and everywhere on the media for their wrongdoing."

The photo was also criticised by Nicola's followers before she took it down.

In the past Nicola has also posted a photo of herself grabbing Brooklyn's throat.

Mirror Online has contacted a rep for Brooklyn for comment.
