Brooklyn Beckham has taken on his parents’ love of clothes and developed his own fashion style which he describes as “a kind of skateboarder/Peaky Blinders look”.
The 19-year-old son of Victoria and David Beckham admitted his designer mother “would cry a bit” if he did not care about how he dressed. His style description references the period clothes worn by Birmingham gangsters the Peaky Blinders from the BBC drama — famous for their flat caps.
He told GQ magazine: “If I had a question about clothes [Victoria] was always there to help, and so was my dad.”
Brooklyn also revealed he shares a love of cars with his father, saying they are “proper car guys... proper”.
The teenager, who presented an award last night at the GQ Car Awards in London, added: “I’ve been in go-karts since I was a little kid. Am I a handy driver? I think I’m all right. My friends think I am.
“I’m old school. I was always into classic cars. The shape is important, but how it drives matters to me. I’ve never felt more at home in anything than a BMW.
“I love the M3 and the old 5 Series that starred in the latest Mission: Impossible film.”
The teenager has been studying photography and his pictures have helped him win 11.5 million Instagram followers. Beckham said: “I got into photography properly four or five years ago, when my dad bought me my first camera. These days, everyone’s a photographer, but that’s why I shoot on film. I love it.”
