Brooklyn Beckham blasted for using private jet months months after climate change rant

Brooklyn Beckham has been blasted for using a private jet after preaching on climate change.

The budding photographer, 21, warned it was “causing irreversible damage to our planet” after interviewing a green campaigner for an Instagram video in September.

He added: “Climate change is obviously something that is freaking a lot of people out.

"It’s made me want to help.”

But on Christmas Day he hopped on a private plane as the Beckhams left Britain for Miami in Florida.

The jets are much less carbon efficient than airliners because they have so few passengers.

Sarah Clayton, of environmental group Airport Watch, said: “Going on a private jet makes you look a hypocrite.

"Most people manage without one.

“Everyone has to make some sacrifices for the sake of protecting life on earth.”

David, Victoria, plus kids Brooklyn, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 15 and Harper, nine, reportedly tested negative for Covid before flying 4,426 miles across the pond.

Brooklyn was also involved in Sir David Attenborough’s Netflix show about climate change, Our Planet.

A representative for the Beckhams was approached for comment.
