Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz ‘not directly invited’ to Harry and Meghan’s home amid 'Beckxit' alliance claim

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz were reportedly not personally invited by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to a private dinner at their Montecito mansion, despite speculation that the gathering could deepen tensions with David and Victoria Beckham.

According to People, the younger couple attended the dinner as part of a wider group of VIP guests, including television and film executives.

A source cited by the publication said the couple “were not directly invited by the Duke and Duchess,” suggesting the invitation may have come through a mutual contact.

The dinner reportedly took place at the couple’s £11 million home before David Beckham’s string of high-profile 50th birthday, a celebration the rest of the Beckham family attended. The no-show fuelled speculation that Brooklyn’s relationship with his famous parents is strained.

“The timing is pure coincidence,” a source told MailOnline, adding: “While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests.

“Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.”

Reports of the evening have sparked further scrutiny due to the ongoing fallout between the Sussexes and the Beckhams, who’s friendship is reported to have cooled in recent years.

Yet according to insiders, Meghan and Nicola, 30, connected over shared experiences in the public eye.

One source claimed: “Nicola and Meghan also had a bit of a ‘deep n’ meaningful,’” the insider said. “Both women have been positioned in the media as home-wreckers - the women to tear apart their husbands’ families. Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her and said there was shared common ground.”

Harry also reportedly showed support to Brooklyn, 26, with one insider saying: “Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.”

Despite speculation about the timing of the dinner, another source told The Sun: “They didn’t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest, if very welcome, coincidence.”

According to reports, the two couples swapped numbers following the dinner, with Harry and Meghan said to be offering “empathy and support” to Brooklyn and Nicola amid their strained relationship with the Beckham family — a saga some have dubbed “Beckxit”, drawing parallels with the Sussexes’ own departure from the royal fold.

The Standard has contacted Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s reps for comment.

The get-together also marked a rare reunion - the last time Brooklyn met Prince Harry was at age 13, when he attended the Millies Awards with his dad and was introduced to the royal. However, the Beckhams and the royals go way back.

Victoria and David attended both Prince William’s 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton and Harry’s 2018 nuptials to Meghan. In fact, Victoria was once involved in Harry’s very first royal tour to South Africa, where he posed with the Spice Girls.

David and Victoria even offered the Sussexes their Beverly Hills mansion as a safe place to stay after the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

However, the once-friendly ties between David and Harry have reportedly cooled in recent years.

“Harry is very protective of Meghan and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David,” a source claimed at the time, before it emerged that a beautician was actually to blame.

David, meanwhile, is believed to have remained close with Prince William.
