Brooke Vincent's Coronation Street co star accidentally gives away her baby's due date

Brooke Vincent's on screen mum in Coronation Street has revealed when the actress is due to give birth.

Sally Dynevor plays Sally Metcalfe on the show, mum to Sophie Webster, who is played by Brooke.

Brooke, 27, announced her pregnancy in April, and did not find out the gender of the baby.

She has been with her boyfriend, footballer Kean Bryan, since 2016.

Sally spoke to The Sun about how Brooke is doing, when she made the comment that gave away Brooke's due date.

"Helen [Flanagan] and Brooke are good. We had lunch together last week, which was very funny, we laughed a lot", she said.

“Helen didn’t have her children with her and Brooke is off to have her baby, so she has her baby next weekend.”

The actress added: “It’s an exciting time for the girls.

“They’re lovely girls and we’re very close, so it’s lovely.”

Brooke announced her pregnancy with OK! magazine, and said she and boyfriend Kean Bryan were “over the moon”.

“I always worried it wouldn’t happen for me,” she said.

“I’m beside myself with happiness, I’ve been playing songs to the bump and sometimes I sit and cry abut how much I love my baby!” she added.

Brooke is currently on maternity leave from Corrie, and she revealed the her baby bump was concealed by piles of ironing and bunches of shopping bags as she filmed her scenes.

When the ironing prop was pointed out to her by the Conversation Street Podcast, Brooke replied with a crying-with-laughter emoji: "I think I was hidden behind one of Dev's shopping isles in the end."

However, fans took to Twitter saying they would much rather the practice of hiding the pregnancy would stop.

One said: "I think soaps should give up hiding pregnancies just makes it more obvious."

Another fan messaged: "Me and my daughter love playing guess the 'bump cover'!"
