Brooke Vincent and boyfriend Kean Bryan announce pregnancy: Coronation Street actress ‘really excited’ to become a mother

Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with partner Kean Bryan.

The 26-year-old actress, who has played Sophie Webster on the Mancunian soap since 2004, said she was “really excited” to welcome the new arrival as she revealed her pregnancy news to OK! magazine.

“I always worried it wouldn’t happen for me – I’m beside myself with happiness,” she told the publication.

“I’ve been playing songs to the bump and sometimes I sit and cry about how much I love my baby! I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so I’m really excited.

“We’re both each other’s biggest fans and having a baby together will add an extra bond. Kean brings out the best in me and it makes me so excited that we’re on this journey together.”

The soap star went on to reveal that she and the Sheffield United midfielder, 22, have decided not to find out whether the baby is a girl or a boy.

“We want it to be a surprise, which has amazed all my friends because I’m usually so impatient,” she said. “I think it’s a boy.”

The couple are thought to have started dating in 2016, with Vincent describing their romance as a “slow burner” in a 2018 interview with OK!

“We’re from the same area, so we have a lot of mutual friends. They introduced us a few years ago and we instantly hit it off as friends,” she told the magazine.

Last year, the couple were forced to shrug off rumours that Kean had popped the question after the actress shared a photo in which she wore a ring on her engagement finger, with the footballer claiming that the couple are “too young” to be thinking about marriage.

The full interview features in this week’s OK! magazine, out on April 9.
