Ireland's entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest, Brooke Scullion, has spoken out after she failed to qualify for Saturday night's final.
In an emotional video to fans on her Instagram account, Brooke thanked those who voted for her and said she gave the performance her best.
Speaking to the camera with her crew in the background, Brooke began to choke up as she said: "Okay, look, so it didn't go our way tonight.
"We are so, so happy with what we did, and it just maybe isn't for me right now, but maybe in the future.
"Maybe bigger things are going to come. I've literally got an EP coming out, like who knows."
She added: "Thank you so much to everyone who voted. I couldn't have done any more, and I'm so happy, so thank you."
Brooke performed her song 'That's Rich' in Thursday night's qualifier in Turin, Italy.
Her act went down incredibly well with the live audience as viewers at home could hear the crowd chanting and enjoying the music.
However, the Derry native missed out on getting one of the coveted ten places available for the final.
Joining Ireland as the Eurovision hopefuls who would be returning home disappointed were Israel, Georgia, Malta, San Marino, Cyprus, North Macedonia, and Montenegro.
While Belgium, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, Poland, Finland, Estonia, Australia, Sweden, Romania and Serbia all qualified.
Showing Brooke their support, fans commented on the singer's heartbreaking video, saying: "You were the best Irish Representative and entry for years! You were totally amazing."
A second said: "You were amazing be very proud of how you performed".
While a third commented: "Brooke you were my absolute favorite!! Voted for you from you did so great".
A fourth added: "I am really sad for you, if it was my way you would be in the final top fifteen All the best in your future career!"
Fans had high hopes that Brooke would qualify Ireland for the final for the first time in four years.
They said: "You performance was amazing!!! One of the top ones of the evening, so devastated you did qualify, so so proud".
A second said: "You were the best Irish Representative and entry for years! You were totally amazing."
