Brooke Scullion faced hefty fine after beloved cat 'wrecked' Dublin apartment

Brooke Scullion faced a hefty €300 fine after her beloved cat 'wrecked' her Dublin apartment.

The Dancing With The Stars favourite got into hot water for smuggling her beloved moggy Draco into her city base. And Eurovision singer Brooke, 23, is now pining for her native Derry after she had to send her pampered feline back home to Ramelton.

She said: “I haven’t been home in three months. I really miss them. I ring my sister three times a day.”

The That’s Rich singer has been staying in Dublin on her own after actress Leah O’Rourke got the boot from the RTE show and moved out of the apartment. She admitted: “I’ve been missing my cat. I had him in the apartment in Dublin, but I got a €300 fine because he wrecked the apartment.

“The Dancing With The Stars crew didn’t even know I had him in the apartment in the first place.” Brooke, who is also an ambassador for Discover NI, performed contemporary ballroom on Sunday with her pro partner Robert Rowinksi to the Kate Bush classic Running Up That Hill.

She admitted her “wild” nights out with fellow co-star Panti Bliss are slowing down as their “healthy rivalry” soars on the reality show. The pair are the hot favourites to win this seasons DWTS and take home the glitterball trophy, Brooke revealed Panti, aka Rory O’Neill, jokingly threatened to push her down the stairs. She said: “It’s so funny because we have this healthy rivalry, where she’s like, I do want to push you down the stairs.

“I stopped partying this week because the number is so hard. But usually it’s me and Panti at Panti Bar.” Brooke has been tipped by judges Loraine Barry, Brian Redmond and Arthur Gurunlian to go all the way in the competition but she bashed claims she’d had private lessons. She said: “It’s literally the opposite. I learned the choreography over Eurovision and that’s it.

“If you’re at the top of the leader board that only counts for half a percentage of the votes. You’d almost be better off at the bottom, then people watching would want to save you.”

Brooke, who will fly to Australia on March 22 for a nationwide tour, told of her unlikely friendship with Panti Bliss and former State pathologist Marie Cassidy, who was eliminated from the show. She said: “I text Marie each week as soon as I come off the stage.

“Myself and Marie used to be the wild ones. She texted me after the show last week and said ‘you and Panti just have to keep up the party tradition.

“‘Just remember you’re both brilliant, I mean dancers not drinkers, I’m the winner there’.” Dancing With The Stars continues on RTE One on Sunday at 6.30pm.
