Bronzie craze attracts Strictly Come Dancing star Sunetra Sarker

A craze for a onesie that reduces tan lines after a spray tan has attracted fans including Liverpool actress Sunetra Sarker.

In fact, both the Strictly Come Dancing contestants and professional dancers have been trying out the Bronzie.

The invention of Leanne LeGuen from Maghull, the item of beauty clothing is taking social media by storm.

Leanne, 31, told the ECHO: “I’ve had the idea for years and managed to secure funding to start making my idea a reality.

“I own a beauty salon and one of the hardest things is to find clothes to wear after you go for a spray tan which will stop your tan streaking.

“The last 18 months have been a real journey, I managed to find someone to help me develop the idea and find the right material.

“My friend’s a make-up artist on Strictly so I sent her a few to try.

“Then all the dancers starting posting pictures on Twitter saying how much they love it.

“Sunetra told me she didn’t want to take it off because it’s so comfortable and we sent one to Fern Britton and she said the same.”

Leanne now hopes to market the garment internationally.

She said: “We only released it in September but it’s already taking off.

“The British Skin Foundation are also on board. Lots of young girls won’t use fake tan because they say it’s too messy and you get tan lines, so we’re hoping to deter them from using sunbeds by showing them our product works.”
