Bronze Marcelo Bielsa statue to tour Yorkshire this week - here's when you can see it

We've all seen pictures of it by now - the lifesize, bronze Marcelo Bielsa statue that depicts the Leeds United boss in his famous pose on the iconic blue bucket.

But the man behind the bonkers creation is taking it on a tour of Yorkshire this week to celebrate Leeds' promotion to the Premier League.

The statue, which weighs 75kg, was paraded through the streets of Leeds over the weekend by Leeds fan Tony Clark, who commissioned the impressive creation and had it sent over from South East Asia earlier this season.

The incredible sculpture has already visited York city centre today (Tuesday), but Tony is planning a mini 'Tour de Yorkshire' so Leeds fans all over the county can come and take a close look.

Where can I see it?

The statue will be on show between midday and 1pm at the following locations:

  • Wednesday - White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds (near Sainsbury's)
  • Thursday - Filey sea front (close to the amusement arcades)
  • Friday - Parliament Street, Harrogate (infront of Three's A Crowd)

For more information, take a look at the Bronze Bielsa Public Facebook page.
