Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy will play ‘wherever they put me’

The Denver Broncos selected Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy with the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday evening. The question now is, where will Jeudy line up?

Jeudy can play in the slot or outside. He’ll probably end up moving around in Pat Shurmur’s offense.

“I feel like I’m a wide receiver who can play inside, outside or wherever they put me at to get the ball,” Jeudy said during a conference call with reporters on Thursday evening.

“I don’t feel like I’m a better inside receiver than outside receiver. I’m a good receiver overall. I know how to get open and press off against whoever is guarding me. I just know how to get open. That’s it.”

Jeudy was the top wide receiver on the Broncos’ draft board — the team loved his ability to create separation on his routes in college.

“I feel like I’m the best wide receiver because I’ve got the ability to separate,” Jeudy said. “As a receiver, that’s what you need. You need to find a way to get open and I feel like that’s the best I could do.”
