Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders injures knee against Titans

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders aggravated a knee injury during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Denver announced at halftime that Sanders has been ruled out.

Sanders first appeared on the Broncos’ injury report with a knee injury last week. Before leaving Sunday’s game, Sanders was targetted three times and caught just one pass for a zero-yard gain.

Sanders caught 24 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns through the first five games of the season. He was limited to just one catch for nine yards in a 20-13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5.

Sanders is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2020 after earning $10.25 million this year, according to Spotrac.com. He has caught 560 passes for 7,331 yards and 39 touchdowns in his career.

With Sanders sidelined, Denver’s top remaining receivers against the Titans are Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, Diontae Spencer and Fred Brown. Juwann Winfree is inactive.
