Broncos won’t tender TE Brian Parker

The Denver Broncos will not place a one-year, $2.025 million tender on tight end Brian Parker, KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis first reported Tuesday. The news has since been confirmed by multiple media outlets.

Parker was eligible for a tender because he is a restricted free agent. By not tendering him, Denver is allowing Parker to become an unrestricted free agent, free to negotiate a deal with any team beginning next week.

Parker (6-4, 265 pounds) entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Albany with the San Diego Chargers in 2015. He went on to serve short stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets before joining Denver’s practice squad in 2017.

Parker dressed for 13 games last season, earning one start. He hauled in five receptions for 33 yards, averaging 6.6 yards per catch.

The Broncos are also not expected to tender tight end Matt LaCosse, long snapper Casey Kreiter and wide receiver Jordan Taylor. NFL free agency will begin on Wednesday, March 13.
