Broncos will host joint practices with 49ers

Ahead of a preseason matchup on August 19th, the Denver Broncos will host the San Francisco 49ers for some joint practices.

The practices will be closed to the public, but it does give the Broncos a chance to work with players from another team and test themselves against other players that they don’t see every day.

And who knows, there might even be a brawl.

Teams around the league have started to schedule these joint practices on a more common basis. From 1996-2008, the Broncos held joint practices with another team just five times, but since 2014 the team has held them each summer.

This will be the fourth time in the last five years that the 49ers have made the trip to Englewood, more than any other team has practiced with the Broncos.

Due to this, the Broncos will get to go up against the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle and the No. 2 overall pick in the most recent draft, Nick Bosa.

The two teams will then square off in a preseason game will actually be televised on Monday Night Football.
