Broncos will host 49ers for joint practices this summer

We don’t yet know all four teams the Denver Broncos will face in preseason this year but we do know one of them. Denver will take on the San Francisco 49ers (as usual), according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Maiocco also reported that the Broncos will host the 49ers for joint practice this summer. Dates for those practices are yet to be announced.

This will mark the fourth time in five years that Denver has held joint training camp practices with San Francisco. The team hosted the Chicago Bears last summer and the Houston Texans five years ago.

In addition to the 49ers, Bears and Texans (2003, 2005, 2014), the Broncos have also held joint practices with the Dallas Cowboys (2007, 2008) and Carolina Panthers (1996).

Because the Broncos are playing in the Hall of Fame Game this year, the team will start training camp a week earlier than usual. Denver will likely begin camp practice on or around July 17.

The team’s full offseason schedule should be announced in the coming weeks. The preseason and regular season schedules are expected to be announced by the NFL sometime next month.
