Broncos will face Raiders on ‘Monday Night Football’ in Week 1

The Denver Broncos will open the 2019 NFL season on Monday, Sept. 9 against the Oakland Raiders, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. The game will likely be part of a “Monday Night Football” doubleheader on ESPN.

That contest will mark linebacker Brandon Marshall’s first game against the Broncos, his former team. Marshall signed a one-year deal with the Raiders this offseason after being released by Denver.

The Broncos will also host Oakland this fall but the date for that game has not yet been announced. Denver will play each of its three division opponents at home and on the road in 2019.

In addition to facing each AFC West team twice, the Broncos will host the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns this season. On the road, Denver will take on the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills.

The team’s complete 16-game regular season schedule (and finalized preseason schedule) will be announced at 6 p.m. MT.
