The Denver Broncos will face the Atlanta Falcons in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, Aug. 1, kicking off NFL preseason. Denver will be considered the home team but that won’t mean much because the game is being played in Canton, Ohio. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. MT and will be nationally televised on NBC.

Three of the Broncos’ starting offensive linemen — Garett Bolles, Dalton Risner and Connor McGovern — will play a few snaps but most of the team’s starters will remain on the sideline, including veteran quarterback Joe Flacco. Denver will start Kevin Hogan at quarterback.
Atlanta was selected to play in the game because former tight end Tony Gonzalez is part of this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Class. The Broncos were selected because former cornerback Champ Bailey and late owner Pat Bowlen will also be enshrined in the Hall of Fame this weekend.
