Broncos’ updated draft picks and order after Joe Flacco trade

The Denver Broncos have agreed to trade for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. The deal won’t become official until the new league year begins on March 13 so the terms of the trade are not yet known.

The Broncos are “expected” to be trading a fourth-round pick to the Ravens in exchange for Flacco, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. If that is accurate, we can look ahead to what picks Denver will have in April’s draft:

Round 1: Natural pick
Round 2: Natural pick
Round 3: Natural pick
Round 4: Unknown*
Round 5: Natural pick
Round 5: Acquired from Minnesota Vikings
Round 6: Natural pick
Round 7: Acquired from Houston Texans

The Broncos own a pair of fourth-round picks this year, a natural selection and a pick acquired from the Texans in exchange for wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. It’s unclear which pick will be sent to Baltimore.

Here’s what we do know: Denver currently owns eight selections in the draft, with at least one pick in each round. In the first round, the Broncos will select 10th overall. With a new starting QB, Denver will now have more flexibility with their first-round selection.
